St. Paul Lutheran School - 2.5 - 4 Year Olds Preschool Program

St. Paul's Preschool Program is designed to nurture children spiritually and academically at a developmentally appropriate level. We focus on each child's social, emotional, physical, and
cognitive growth, supporting the needs of the whole child. Every student who enters our program is a unique and special gift from God, and it is our privilege to help them know they are loved and cared for by our Lord Jesus Christ. Our preschool is state-licensed and follows the Kansas State Readiness Standards.
Students are welcomed into a caring environment by professional staff who help them transition smoothly into a classroom setting. Each age group has its own classroom with developmentally appropriate learning stations, and our campus includes a spacious playground designed for all ages.
We also offer extended childcare before and after school for children aged 3 and up who are
potty-trained.
Morning Care: 6:30 AM until school begins
Afternoon Care: 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Parents are encouraged and welcomed to be involved in all aspects of our program.
2½ Year Old Preschool Program
Students in this class do not need to be potty-trained. Our staff partners with families to support potty training, and many children experience success before the end of the year.
To enroll, students must turn 2 years old by February 15 of the year they begin school (ensuring they are 2 ½ by August 15).
Class Time: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Program Options: 3-day, 4-day, or 5-day.
3 Year Old Preschool Program
Students must be 3 years old by August 31 and potty-trained to enroll.
PreK 3 students are encouraged to attend the 5-day program, with 3-day and 4-day options also
available.
Program Options:
• Full Day: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Half Day: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
4 Year Old PreKindergarten Program
Students must be 4 years old by August 31 and potty-trained to enroll.
PreK 4 students are encouraged to attend the 5-day program, with 3-day and 4-day options also
available

Half Day: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Special Events & Field Trips
Preschool students enjoy a variety of enriching experiences throughout the year.
Bible Time
All students participate in daily Bible lessons. Prek 4 students are gradually introduced to chapel concepts before joining K-8 students later in the year.
Educational Field Trips
• Annual visit from the Leavenworth Fire Department
• Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Preschool-specific events include: Hunt for Clifford the Big Red Dog, Thanksgiving Feast, PreK Christmas Programs, Valentine's Day Party, Easter Celebration, Western Day, Worm Day, Rainbow Olympics, and more.

Elementary K-5th Grades
At St. Paul Lutheran School, we meet each child where they are, ensuring students secure vital foundational skills through personalized learning in a supportive and loving enviroment.
Middle School 6-8th Grades
St. Paul Lutheran School emphasizes academic excellence and character development, supporting students in 6th-8th grade as they prepare to engage with our community through various outreach initiatives designed to support and uplift others.
Extended Care
St. Paul Lutheran School provides Extended Care before and after school, and all day on certain non-school days. They provide enriching activities, homework help, and plenty of play in a safe space with loving and familiar staff.
